Defensive Medicine Has Become Quite Common Among Physicians


Dr. Edward Volpintesta wrote an opinion editorial in response to “Study: Weak Link Between Malpractice Fears And Defensive Medicine” that disagreed with the study:

Many physicians have become accustomed to practicing “defensive medicine” to avoid malpractice. “Defensive Medicine” has become such a common practice among physicians that it is hard to distinguish between “defensive medicine” and “good medicine”. Malpractice governs the cost of healthcare.
